One of my favorite online reading sites is AC. AC has something for everyone: How-to, humor, poetry, video, just about anything you could possibly want to entertain or educate you.

August Rush

Stars: Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Robin Williams.

Review:

This film is completely unbelievable. The genre could easily fall under the categories of Fantasy, Romance, Musical or Comedy. So unbelievable or not, it has something for everybody.

August Rush, Freddie Highmore, is abandoned in an orphanage, when his grandfather, William Sadler, gives him away at birth, in an effort to protect his daughter, Lyla, Keri Russell.

August Rush was born Evan Taylor and he hears music everywhere. He believes if he can just connect to the music he can find his parents, Lyla and Louis, Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Evan leaves the orphanage soon after his 11th birthday to search for his parents and find the source of the music. He quickly falls prey to the devious Wizard, Robin Williams, who recognises Evan as a prodigy and quickly takes him in to capitalize off his talents.

When Wizard realizes that someone is looking for Evan, he changes Evan's name to August Rush.

August is taken in by a minister and given an opportunity to attend Julliard School of Music after the minister recognises August as a musical genius.

The soundtrack for this movie is fantastic and builds to the finale with August's Rhapsody to inspire even the most critical viewer to believe the magic that is August Rush.

The happily ever after feeling that the ending leaves you with is bound to suggest another genre, Fairy Tale.

August Rush is a must see movie. If you missed it in theaters it is now available on DVD online and in stores everywhere.

In my family we call this "A keeper".

My Interview

It was my intention to review a movie today. However, I had a little excitement and decided to share that instead.

Donald Pennington is a Content Provider on Associated Content. He seeks out Content Providers to interview for his pages and does a wonderful job.

The Path

I think it is only fitting that I start with my most recent read. As usual, I am behind the pack, ever catching up.

I am not a big fan of poetry. That's just me, I usually just don't get it. Ms. Devon accentuates her chapters with her own lovely verses.

After pre-empting each chapter with verse, Ms. Devon shares her own life lessons as she moves through her own path and awakening. Her life lessons are inspirational, to say the least, and she shares with her readers in open, heartfelt style. Ms. Devon invites the reader to "step out of their comfort zone" and join her on her path.

The only thing I can say that I disliked about this book is the paper color. I think it is likely an effort to "go green", but it was hard for my poor vision to see well and I required a lot of extra light.

Overall I found this to be an inspiring read and will recommend it to my friends.
